The Celtic Connection

Early Christian prayers show how connected the Celtic church was to the God who created this world. It's good to remind ourselves of the rich Celtic Christian heritage of prayer and worship that we are now stewards of.

I've written a lot of prayers, and included other ancient prayers from the early days of the Church in Britain and Ireland. You'll find a daily devotional, Bible Studies and collections of prayers for download, as well as Celtic blessings, Christian quotes and a whole lot more!

This is very much a work in progress, and new prayers and worship resources are continually being added, so do drop by now and again and check out what is new!

Lent Bible Studies

There are now three Lent Bible Studies available for download, two of which are new for 2012. You only need one copy per group and they are designed for ease of copying. There are plenty of resources and discussion questions to keep your fellowship group busy!

Then Sings My Soul! - Lent Bible Study

This study is based upon the verses of the popular hymn 'How Great Thou Art!' which has been recorded over 1700 times, including versions by Elvis Presley, Tenessee Ernie Ford, Roy Rogers and George Beverly Shea.

The study would also be of interest to those interested in Celtic Christianity. (more info)

Amazing Love - Lent Bible Study

This study is based on the wonderful hymn by Isaac Watts which encompasses the whole Lent season as it asks us to look, or survey the wonder of the cross - but not only the wonder as Watts vividly paints the colour of Christ's agony and death on the cross. (more info)

Toward the Sunrise - Lent Bible Study

Something a little different - this study follows the story of the disciples after the Easter story and their journey toward understanding all that had happened in their lives, together with some other famous journeys of faith. (more info)
